Having never seen this stunning bird before I got more than a little excited when I saw this African Crowned Eagle. Not only is it beautiful it is huge and so powerful it can crush the head of a bushbuck to kill it and carry its own weight up into a tree.
Predominantly killing mammals for food it will take baboons, monkeys, warthogs and Impala - can you imagine the strength?
