
I mentioned yesterday that I tried to photograph in slow motion - a panning shot - which I failed at miserably. This is the best of the failures:
During the heavy rain this large herd of Eland mixed with some Zebra and they all ran for cover when lightening struck.
Personally I like the ethereal look of the picture but it is a marmite thing.
Eland are the largest of the African antelopes and cow-like in appearance. Extremely agile they can jump an 8 foot fence from standing - an amazing feat and unbelievable to watch.
I am travelling to the Mara tomorrow - a long drive but the beginning of the second stage in my adventure.
