DAY ONE
It was still quite dark as I crossed the river bridge this morning at 06.00 am. The baboons were still up in the tree canopy completing their first ablutions of the day and I was careful not to stand under the trees as I stretched my legs for 5 minutes whilst the guide, Joseph, paid the entrance fee for the park.
Full of expectation for the day ahead I crossed my fingers for some good sightings. Early mornings are generally a great time to see predators returning from a nights hunting and I was not disappointed.  Here a female leopard relaxes having had her fill of what looked like an unlucky Impala.
