I know that some folk want to see photos of mammals tearing limbs off unfortunate food sources but a safari is not all about that.
This spoonbill is a delight to watch as it puts its beak into the water and wades backwards and forwards with his head going from side to side. He's feeling for small fish and other aquatic beasties which he throws up from the end of his beak and catches it at the base in order to eat it.
I have been without a fully fit mode of transport for a couple of days as the spring housing has severed off and the vehicle is laking one hell of a racquet. It is drivable but the roads here, as I mentioned previously, are really bad. We are now off roading which is not permitted but there really is no choice. The irony is that a big yellow road grader is just sat there laughing at us all as we struggle past in clouds of dust
