I visited Nairobi National Park today as tomorrow it is open to all Kenyan citizens for free and will be absolutely gridlocked.
It's a massive park in the city, so much so that it takes more thanĀ a day to have even a cursory look.
There are no elephants in the park as it is not deemed big enough but this gives the vegetation a chance to thrive.
Managing to photograph anything without long grass is a challenge but this white rhino was resting near some water with her nearly full grown calf.
The rains came down in spectacular fashion drenching everything and making the roads quite muddy - not easy to drive in so I tried some slow motion shots but as usual failed dismally
