Now in Amboseli where the roads are the worst I have ever seen. They are so rough and dusty that it is near on impossible to drive on them. The car is already totally covered in dust as are clothes, hair, camera gear and bags. It really is unacceptable.
The picture today is a male Kori Bustard standing in full mating plumage awaiting a ljdyfriend. He will stand for many hours in the same place in expectation.
When the female comes by he will mate with her. Without a word of thanks he will the potter off and have nothing at all to do with the raising of the chicks.
All show and no substance.
I am writing this from the main office as we have no wifi or electric at the moment.
The power gets shut off at regular intervals for a couple of hours.
Most annoying.
