I could watch baboons for hours. These Yellow Baboons were returning from a days foraging to seek refuge for the night high in the trees. Yellow baboons are social animals and do not generally fight but use facial expressions to show annoyance.
Females will give birth approximately every two years with the offspring continuing to feed from her for the first year although will start to eat by itself fairly early on.
The young will be carried underneath the body for the first few days and then ride jockey style hopping on and off as the troop travels around.
These two youngsters are feeding on the go and hanging on for dear life.
