A young baboon with a toy. In this case the feather of a guinea fowl which he will show off to the other youngsters until such time that an older, bigger guy takes it off of him -  just like our school playgrounds with the bullies.
I am currently in a gladed wood listening to the hyaenas, lions and baboons. It is pitch black, the mosquitos are biting and the only thing I can see are the solar lights dotted around the camp.
As I leave for bed an askari (Maasai) will escort me so keep me safe. Once inside the tent one has to hope that the leopard, lion, hyaena etc don't know how to open the zip.
Whilst you all sleep soundly tonight - think of me - it may be my last !!!!
